Grasp Organization Visual Identity

I was commissioned by a student physics organization to create a single uniting graphic for the five departments. The logo shape was inspired by a coat of arms to symbolize the departments coming together to defend the rights of the student teachers. The departments are shown in clock wise order starting in the top left: High Energy Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, Astrophysics, Biophysics, and Physics Education. The logo was then redesigned to add a more iconic symbol of education, but I like the original better.
